Spotify came to Plantus in 2018 to help design the terrace at their new headquarters in the Flatiron district of Manhattan. Since the space was so sizable, we decided to utilize our light-weight Ark Series planters. The modular structure of the system enables us to custom-build to any length and configuration. For Spotify, we chose to create a very large macro planter of over 50 feet, which was assembled on-site. Appearing as one continuous structure, the planter’s cladding walls were skinned in antique brass. Since the planters are a third lighter than normal planters, we were able to easily meet the building’s structural weight limits.
